In December 2025, MK Agro Production Sp. z o.o. successfully passed an unannounced audit against the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety (Issue 9), achieving the highest possible grade – A+. The certificate was issued on January 27, 2026, and remains valid until May 2027.
The A+ grade is awarded exclusively to companies that meet the rigorous requirements of the standard during unannounced audits. This means that the assessment reflects the actual, everyday operating conditions of the production facility – without prior preparation for inspection.
What is the BRCGS standard?
BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standards) is one of the most widely recognized international food safety standards. It is required by global retail chains and partners operating in the retail, foodservice, and food processing sectors. The standard covers, among others:
- product safety and quality,
- quality management systems,
- hygiene and hazard control,
- raw material traceability,
- supervision of production processes,
- food safety culture within the organization.
Obtaining the certificate confirms that MK Agro meets the highest international requirements in food production.
Scope of MK Agro’s certification
The BRC certification covers, among others, control of areas such as sorting, cleaning, and cutting vegetables; blanching, pasteurization, and sterilization processes; production of vegetables with or without spices and meat ingredients; vacuum (VAC) packaging; and production of ready-to-eat products.
This scope fully reflects MK Agro’s business profile as a producer of ready-to-eat potatoes and vegetable semi-finished products for the foodservice, food processing, and retail sectors.
