Product inspiration
WOKSI was inspired by fusion cuisine — specifically, the combination of the Chinese dish tudousi (stir-fried shredded potatoes) with the aesthetics and “sunny” colour of Italian pasta. The result is a product that works equally well in world cuisines and comfort food dishes.
How is WOKSI made?
The WOKSI production process was designed to achieve the key quality parameters: taste, uniform colour, and the desired texture.
1) Variety and raw material selection
WOKSI is made from a selected variety of yellow potatoes, chosen after testing multiple options for taste, colour, and structure. Additionally, potatoes of the right size (calibre) are used to ensure a consistent string length.
2) Modern production line
The product is manufactured on a modern processing line, adapted to the requirements of the raw material. Potatoes are washed, peeled, cut into strings, and packed. At the end, they undergo pasteurisation, which stabilises the product and makes it ready to eat straight after opening the pack.
3) Pasteurisation and process control
A critical step is pasteurisation carried out under strictly controlled parameters, ensuring batch-to-batch consistency: stable taste, appearance, and performance in use.
